Each year at the PGA Headquarters there are large banners placed along the gates showcasing the major tournaments’ winners. During my internship, I was tasked with photoshopping and creating these banners. These were very memorable to me because they needed to be heavily edited due to harsh shadows, reflections, and super orange sunsets casting light on the players. My supervisor contacted me later to share that even months later, the photo of Nelly Korda is still referred to as, “Kate’s Nelly Picture”.

One of my favorite designs tasks is HR email headers like this illustration. The content of the email discussed recent volunteer opportunities, such as junior golf and canned food drives. This made it important that the graphic included references to a wide variety of activities while not losing the overall message.

During each major tournament, I was tasked with creating the “hole-by-holes”. These graphics were created to share stats on each hole and were created for Instagram, Instagram Stories, and Twitter. I chose each photo to best capture the characteristics of each unique hole and added the logo, hole number, par, and yardage.

The map above is created every year to show where the junior league regions are located. This project updates every year, so it was very important that I checked every region and course to make sure I had placed the flag correctly. The color choices were up to me, so I made them youthful and fun, while also staying true to the PGA brand.
