PORTRAIT/NATURAL LIGHTING
The goal of this photo was to incorporate natural lighting. This immediately inspired me to use water’s reflection in order to get the beautiful light bouncing off onto my model’s face. I bribed my roommate with the promise of an iced coffee and convinced her to take a dip and slick back her hair. I asked her to wear sheer white in order to match the theme of the water. Her hands were placed on her face to bring the attention back to her eyes and serious face.
STUDIO LIGHTING
I recreated this by attaching bright pink construction paper to visually overwhelm the composition and immerse the viewer in the delicious frosting. Duck Donuts is a fun company that doesn't take themselves too seriously so I 'casually' stacked the donuts in a haphazard way that felt fun.
